Founded in 1872, the Dublin Whiskey Distillery Company (D.W.D.) was one of the famed Six Great Distilleries of Dublin City™ and rose to international acclaim during the golden age of Irish whiskey. Though its stills fell silent in 1945, the name lived on in memories, old signs, and the few surviving bottles—long enough for a group of whiskey veterans and misfits to take on the challenge of reviving the legend, honouring its heritage while forging a new future. Ten years into that journey, the revival continues.

Their latest release, Dublin’s Own Irish Whiskey, is a modern expression of tradition—celebrating community, loyalty, and shared moments, carrying Dublin’s spirit far beyond Ireland with a sense of pride and belonging. A blend of malt and grain aged three to six years in selected Bourbon casks, Dublin’s Own is whiskey tested, tasted, talked about, pondered over, measured, distilled, loved, and crafted.

Tasting Note

Nose
A warm, inviting bouquet of golden honey and creamy vanilla rises first, wrapped in soft buttered pastry aromas. Subtle threads of toasted oak and a touch of floral sweetness lend depth and elegance as it opens in the glass.

Palate
A light, silky, and buttery mouthfeel glides across the tongue, carrying a gentle wave of mellow wood spice. Hints of toasted cereal and natural grain sweetness unfold with poise, bringing a balance of softness and character. A delicate interplay of sweetness and spice keeps the palate lively yet refined.

Finish
A lingering, comforting finish where dark chocolate notes deepen into bittersweet richness, accented by the warm, aromatic lift of cloves. The final impression is long, smooth, and subtly spiced, inviting another sip.
